I've caught 18" tog with an Accurist 101 which has way more drag than I would use. Deep wrecks are a different story, short window of opportunity to get out structure.

Two brothers started a fishing website after leaving FB because of the hate messaging. On their site which is mho christian based that behavior isn't tolerated. They have about 50,000 paid for memberships and are based out of Florida. The business model is based on sharing information amongst anglers as well as publishing videos to improve fishing skills. They developed their own lures and rods made to their specifications offering "insiders" discounts and also sell to the public. Membership pricing varies original members may pay $50 a year and someone joining now pays $100 which never increases. If at any point during the year you can end your membership for a full refund if you feel it's not for you. Members are expected to share local techniques and general locations. More of a how to than a where at game plan. More valuable to warmer climate where fishing is year round as opposed to the North East. They have what they call "smart fishing spots" mapping where they show locations where fish should be active. Based on current, choke points and structure and a suggested time for best results.

I use 10lb Suffix 842 and Fireline never had an issue fishing deep water (50plus). Moving up to 20lb only because I'm losing dexterity in tying my knots.

US guardrail system can’t handle heavy EV’s, preliminary test crashes indicate A new study from the University of Nebraska indicates the nation’s guardrails are ill-equipped to handle electric vehicles, which weigh thousands of pounds more than the average gas-powered sedan. Engineers with the university’s Midwest Roadside Safety Facility conducted test crashes with an electric-powered pickup truck and a Tesla sedan hurtling toward a guardrail — the same type found along tens of thousands of miles of roadway across the country. The report, released Wednesday, concluded that the nation’s guardrail was not made to handle vehicles greater than 5,000 pounds. he results come as transportation officials have been sounding the alarm over the weight disparity between the new battery-powered vehicles and lighter gas-powered ones. Last year, the National Transportation Safety Board expressed concern about the safety risks heavy electric vehicles pose if they collide with lighter vehicles.

It's reported that fema funds were being used for the migrants. We dropped our flood insurance for that reason plus the increase. Fortunately we are in a minimal risk flood zone and our mortgage is paid.
