  1. Just get whichever is cheaper. I fish both and slightly prefer 832. If I had to answer why I couldn't give you any actual reasons. They're both very well-behaved and consistent lines and I wouldn't hesitate to buy either.
  2. I'd melt it down and makena dozen bucktails, personally
  3. Whatever brand I either have laying around or find cheap. J Braid, 832, Fireline, etc. My 2 fluke rods currently have 10 pound J Braid and 8 lb Fireline Crystal. I caught an 11.45 pounder in 80 feet of water a couple years ago on that Fireline so don't go thinking you can't use less than 20 lb.
  4. Why ruin a decent gun? Trade it in for an old H&R single shot or something similar.
  5. I don't really have a use for it but I kind of want it anyway. I'll think about it and get back to you.
  6. Any interest in selling just the VS rod?
  7. I broke a half dozen Battles before I gave up on them. Haven't broken a BG yet
  8. Laugh all you want, they work great.
  9. Do shotgun rounds count? I could happily hunt the rest of my life with a 20 gauge.
  10. My dad has almost every size, and multiples of most. I'm pretty sure he's got stuff ranging from pans both small and large, to fun shaped pans, to kettles. It's a lot to go through. Let me see what there is laying around and I'll ask him if he has anything special. If you want to be more specific, I can ask about certain things for you.
  11. My dad has a bunch of Griswold and Wagner that he could probably be convinced to sell. Is there anything in particular you're interested in?

Any halfway decent bait shop will replace the tip in minutes for less than the shipping cost of a new guide if you had to order one.
