  1. Who said anything about breaking the law??? I have no problem getting a license if they pass one. It may keep some of our non-english troublemakers off the jetties, or maybe they dont pass the law. I certainly never said anything about breaking laws.
  2. I'm sorry, yes a bucktail teaser, as far as speed, a good brisk paddle but not as fast as I can go.
  3. Hmmm, I guess I'm not going to get any definitions here.
  4. He was born in hawaii, therefore he's a natualized citizen period. In that respect he's qualified. Shame though.
  5. I think I have to go back to English class because it's difficult for me to understand this post. Can anyone in here please define for me what the following words mean; alot, curtious, esspecially, ignorrant and discustid?
  6. I dont care, I'm going to fish anyway, seriously.
  7. It would help getting those non-english speaking types off the jetties and from leaving all their garbage behind and keeping all the undersized fish.
  8. Has anyone built any kayak specific rods? I built two, both 6'6" American Tackle graphite with black EVA grips. The rear grips are 10" long and work great in the kayak and its holders. I was thinking about maybe somewhere in/on the rear grip a built in place for tethering a lanyard or something so I wont lose a rod. I know they make leashes but I don't like them much. I was actually thinking about something that retracts. Any ideas? anyone done something like this before?
  9. For me... a pole and a diamond jig, of course a paddle. That combo = hours of entertainment. If you want a PFD go for it. Im usually in the inlets and bays and can swim from one end to the other ALL DAY LONG. I'm 30 in in super shape. as for you? you have to decide, there are no rules to kayak fishing. oh yeah I forgot, a 6 pack of Beck's.
  10. Lately I've been making up these little rigs that work in the inlets and bays when nothing else works 4-5" rubber shad with a teaser about a foot ahead of it. Seems to pick off the blues when nothing is biting especially when trolling in the kayak. Nothing more fun than cruising along then all of a sudden the kayak tilts to one side and does a 90 degree turn from a nice blue. I have yet to have 2 at the same time.
  11. I have to head to home depot today. I'll check out what the electrical dept has in store. There has to be some automatic winders there. Thanks.
  12. I'm having a problem deciding what to do with my anchor line. I use about 35 ft. worth and plan on using more. I have a very nice trolley system rigged up with pulleys and shock cords on both ends. From what I've seen it's one of the better set-ups I've seen around. My problem is what to do with all the anchor line once it's pulled up, especially when I'm changing spots quick and need to re-anchor. It just seems to get tangled up and spooling it nicely takes too much time especially when the fish are on and I have to move. I'm seriously considering rigging up a retractable reel-type system (kinda' like those dog leashes). I was going to rig it up behind me at the expense of valuable tackle space but now that I think of it i was going to place it in the forward hull and run it along the inside of the kayak through a hole and grommet. Does anyone know of a device that I can canniblaize that has a good retractable reel in it?
