  1. Bassmaster, Found them online. Don't bother w/a photo. I'll e-mail you sometime Sat. DAS
  2. Bassmaster, Check your PMs. DAS
  3. I'm searching for a Fender Twin Reverb amplifier in almost any condition. Any of you old guitarists have one collecting dust in the basement? Please let me know. Thanks!
  4. Thanks Rowdy! I've tied up a bunch of different style squid just for the hell of it but I've yet to use one.
  5. Where and when have you found sqiud patterns to be most effective?
  6. After running out of material from the Blados kit, I went on an extensive search for something interesting to cover my crease flys in. I found a source with a remarkable array of transfers ranging from solid colors to glitter and wild holographics. I am considering putting together a replacement foil kit but I would like to hear from other tyers to see if it's worth my time and investment. Are there enough people tying this fly and looking for material? Just testing the water. I need your feedback. Thanks!
  7. Hey Jon! How are ya man??? I'll be manning a seat for the Salty Flyrodders of NY Sat in the AM. I'll keep an eye out for ya. Hope all is well. DASBOOT
  8. I'm not selling said item at this time. Just curious about it having never come across one before. It is definitely NOT a .22, that size fell right through. I thought they came from the '50s. You unscrew the top, drop in a shell, close top, pull back the cap on the top like a pin ball plunger. A silver ball then protrudes through the upper side of the pen and locks into place. This can be covered, as a safety, by the pocket clip which slides over the ball so you don't fire it accidently. To fire, aim barrel, depress ball and BANG!!!! None of my biker pals have ever seen one, but I'm not hanging with outlaws these days!! Thanks for all the info!
  9. I'm not a collector but I do have what I think is somewhat unusual. It's a Pen Gun. Fully operational, 9mm I think. All black. Looks just like a big Monte Blanc pen. Anyone have an idea what this thing is worth. I found it while cleaning out an uncles house. There I was looking down the barrel before I realized what it was!!! I'm curious as too it value. Thanks

  11. Anyone know the name of the double amputee in the old movie classic "The Best Years of Our Lives"? He died recently. Won an Oscar for his role also. Thanks!
  12. Hey Sinbad, that's REALLY pathetic my friend! You need a "Plan B" hobby!! Everybody else, thanks fore the input. A sat/sun trip to Montauk might do the trick though Jon. Where did you stay? PS....The name of that movie is "The Best Years of Our Lives" with Fredrick March. [This message has been edited by DASBOOT (edited 09-20-2002).]
  13. Excuse my ignorance folks, but where is this that you are talking about? Thanks!
  14. Maybe it's my imagination, but from reading the posts on this board and others, it appears that the action is pretty slow all over. Or what is being caught is all minor league. Am I wrong? Where are the reports of surface broiling schools of voracious blues? Or leg length stripers being hauled on board! My time has become so limited that , as eager as I am to get out there, the lackluster reports have diminished the spark a bit. Sorry if this comes off like whining. This is a guy that still thinks life should reflect a Capra movie!! Speaking of movies, does anyone know the name of the double amputee who played in "Days of our Lives"? Hope you're all well!
