    Peacock!

Cable, 2 boxes and internet, no premium channels.

Over $250 a month for cable and now they want more for Peacock. I paid for a baseball game on Peacock back in the summer then canceled the service the next day. I didn't enjoy that hassle or expense. More and more our household is turning away from the commercialism that has become professional sports. This type of extortion makes it easier to turn us away. Our vote is a big F U to Peacock and to NBC.
  3. Not too crowded, not like some resort towns. There’s a beach area on the North East River side that carries a small day fee. River swimming. There’s a boat ramp and shore line on the Elk River side where you can fish from shore but I’m not sure about the license requirements. The shoreline wraps around the park where you can fish, some access is rugged and others not so tough. That time on year I suspect you might catch catfish, maybe small perch or striped bass. The Maryland Dept. of Natural Resources maintains a web site for the Elk Neck State Park. Herb’s Tackle Shop in the town of North East can offer some tips. Have a great time, hope the weather treats your family well.
  4. ^ Yep, me too. Works great, no mess. Put one on both our vehicles. I've always changed my own oil for the confidence of knowing it was done right, for the flexibility of scheduling a oil change on my own time and because it gives me a chance to look around under the vehicle.
  5. He said I'll even tell you that I love you if you want me too
  6. I knew an older fellow who made his version of sting silvers out of the chrome supply lines for bathroom sinks. He's gone and I lost the few he gifted me but they caught.
  7. We use Hilti at work and I can envision them working good in your application. Somehow keep dirt and whatever from getting down into the insert when you have the bolts out. We put a variable speed switch on the extractor. Start slow and pick up speed as it goes. It still walks but not as bad.
  8. A house finch would likely come back to the same location for another brood. They have two or three a year. If they like the spot they'll re-build a nest in what seems like minutes. Their offspring will also use spot next year, or an area very close. The eggs are light blue with some brown spots or spatter. Take it down. See if it comes back.
  9. Northeastern Maryland and the Muck Wetlands are good for me. All day afield with one pair of socks and I'm good. Ground blind, layout blind, tree stand, river shore, daylight to dark. I found the Muck's not as slippery as regular pac boots. Not slippery at all. My first pair cost $79. They've since doubled in price. My older ones get rotated into chore boots for around the place and the newer ones are devoted to hunting and fishing. Pants tucked in or out. Everyday use once the temps drop, they are my by-the-door go to. Not too heavy. We call them Cecil County tennis shoes. Nothing sexier than when your girl slips into your size 12 Muck boots to run out to the truck and bring the beer in. I had lace up LaCrosse years ago. They were good. Warm and dry but a little heavy. I would get all dressed for being outside then break out into a sweat lacing them up. Had them for years until they wore out. Now I'm a fan of Mucks. Dry, easy on and off and warm enough for my area.
  10. ... dropped quicker than a two egg pudding. ... grinning bigger than a possum eating schit out of a wire brush.
  11. And try to remember not to leave it in your tackle bag in the trunk of your car.
  12. I bought a battery powered leaf blower. The wife wanted to be able to use a blower and our gas backpack was not for her. Then there was the electric blower with the cord, and the extension cord, which she grew immediately tired of dragging the cord. My purchase of a battery powered leaf blower was influenced by the wife and by all the yellow and black batteries I already have so I bought the 20v. yellow and black blower. Pretty powerful, light weight and charge lasts a good while. Then I bought a yellow and black hedge trimmer. Also good. And the drill and saw batteries I already have are good in these two tools. I'm thinking I'll try the yellow and black pole saw. Should be nice for use in preparing for deer hunting. Typically I have to fidget with all my gas tools where I can grab the battery powered stuff and go.
  13. for dehydrator... extra trays I bought a Nesco. It has some kind of plastic trays and they clean up like new. All the marinades and coatings wash right off. Came with 4 trays and they sold an add-on 2-pack. We make a lot of goose and deer jerky, and in big batches. I've used an oven and a smoker. The dehydrator is easier. I have started batches in the smoker then transferred to the dehydrator. My buddy has metal trays in his dehydrator. He says he spends too much time leaning over a sink scrubbing.
