In between the pipeline and Turtle Cove (narrowing it down, huh?) The one I got swept off of last year while showing someone a fish. Of course I had my back turned to the surf....you think I'd have known better...

See you soon bud,

I don't think so, but you never know. I'm heading up your way to pick up a boat Saturday. Potatoboy was out two weekends ago. That sack of skuds, I mean spuds on the beach in front of the pavillion is his. It seems some high brow with a fishing permit who was picnicing with his wife near False bar didn't like the commotion caused by PB's cannon and ruined all the fun for everyone between blitzes. The State asked him to leave or face who knows what. I guess he had to high tail it, and left the spuds. I'm sure he will return. I've got a trip this week, but will return the following weekend.
Hope to see you out there.

I got in trouble on another board when someone though it was something perverted. I should be so lucky. No meaning, just a place dear to the heart. That link of surfdweller was interesting though.
I still remember seeing it on a transom ofan old ship careened on the beach.

Lazy Point got it name "derisively" from the clammers who lived there. Clammers were thought to the lazy baymen

The Windmill was part of the Church Estate. The remains of the Church Estate can still be seen coming out of the bluffs at Poles. Cheryl Tiegs and Peter Beard did move the Windmill up to their property and it subsequently burned down. Anybody who has old pictures of Montauk let me know. I would love to purchase/ browse.

That is the place where The Dead Bodies of those aboard The John Milton, a Sailing Ship of the day washed ashore. That was in 1669, and no, I was not there.
Okay, Peter Try This One Out--- How did Tumas (SS Area West Of Tea House) Get its name? I only found out a few years ago because his Grandaughter Lexa Tuma told me the true story as she heard it when she was a child.
