Aside from the tail weight, should you add a little weight in front of the first hook so that the popper sits level in hte water? Or, is it best to have it tail down?

Still not totally up and running. i have a few blanks that are not mine that i am doing all the work on.
My lathe stand and extension bed are due this week. We also have a work bench almost built and ready to go.
Hopefully in the next two weeks timbers be flyin

mrpogie plugs even unpainted they are works of art. Swim real nice too
There are several ways to weigh poppers. Really depends on how you want to use them. Just tail weigh, just one shot in the belly, and as shown above. Try them each way and see what works best for you and the areas you fish.
