Midshore out of Little Egg Inlet.  Disgusting green water, no birds, whales or dolphins, not much bait on the machine either, but it was what we had to work with on a limited window.

Only had 2 bites all day, but they both counted nicely.  First bite at 7am, about 20 minutes in, and then not a single thing until the second bite at about 1pm.

Seemed like some of the guys chunking and jigging were doing better, but it was a tough day for everyone trolling.  Only heard of a fish on the troll here and there.

No window for us (only a 25' boat) in the foreseeable future, so by the time we get back out, it'll be a complete reset.

Good you got out and caught. We went Friday.  Lots of life, great day to be on the water.   Left New London abt 3am. We found an early bft bite and boated a decent small school, fish heard on radio to 76 inches.  Sounded like the place was bedlam, gear driven over, whales breaching on spreads.  But we had a good day.

"I have ... put a lump of ice into an equal quantity of water ...  if a little sea salt be added to the water we shall produce a fluid sensibly colder than the ice was in the beginning, which has appeared a curious and puzzling thing to those unacquainted with the general fact."- Joseph Black

Anyone heading out this week?

WMO is going on so we’re going to wait until Friday to do an overnighter.

From the looks of it, species catch via WMO website, there ain’t much in the way of meat fish being brought to scale, which blows!

Gonna head north to the canyons they cannot fish anyway. Have a few buddy’s out on double overnighters. Will have intel when they get home. We’ll see what happens.

Inshore has dried up from my intel.

Sunday the fish were there, Monday gone. Temps shot up to 80 degrees and  the tuna moved on. Wind out of the west, slight as it is, killed it. Switching around Fri eve to SW and may kick start the bite.

Im sure mahi and wahoo can be found in those warm mid waters
