blackdogfish
I'm not able to get into the surf as much as I want. The little I have done last year and this year has bee disappointing. Struggling to even see small keepers. Is anyone really seeing fairly consistent 20 lb class+ fish from shore? No locations...just in general, statewide. blackdogfish
Ah never mind. Read the big thread for the first time in a while. Pretty much answered my question. Bummer. Sometimes on another night trip you think "Is this me or is the closest fish fifteen miles away?" Just when I'm completely geared up and more or less know my a$$ from my elbow. Funny how the "no fish in RI" joke has become ....not a joke. The Great Big Jig in the Sky...Shine on you crazy diamond jig.
Kooky
the other thread sums it up pretty good. You can catch fish but you need an insane amount of luck and timing to catch fish above 32" at this point. Hope this changes in the fall but in the spring/summer they seemed to roll right past us. With the canal and block slaughter, not sure how many will be passing by in the fall either. ^^ I didnt even notice it didnt get censored, I guess anal is acceptable in SOL....
