I can't get no satisfaction

20 posts in this topic

New gallup poll has satisfaction with direction of the nation at 38%.  Highest since 2005.  It's being dragged down by democrats.  They only are at 13%.

Why so miserable, libs?

Source is gallup.

Rise in Republican, Independent Satisfaction Pushes Rate Up Over Past Two Months

U.S. satisfaction has averaged 38% in May and June after averaging 29% in March and April. The nine-percentage-point bump between the two periods is entirely owing to increased satisfaction among Republicans and independents, pushing Republicans' satisfaction to 68% and independents' to 36%. Meanwhile, Democrats' satisfaction is unchanged at 13%.

Differences by place of residence, age, gender and education are mostly not as large as by party identification, and the amount of change from March-April to May-June was fairly uniform within the former groups. Democrats were the only major demographic group to show no increase in satisfaction.

It's their natural state of being.

The poll really makes it look like they hate America.   Do they?

So question is, what was the party breakdown of such polls backing in say 2015? Early 2016?

That also says that 2/3rds of the country is dissatisfied with the direction of the country.

Right.  heavily skewed downward by the supremely unhappy democrats who have hovered between 7% and 13% satisfaction.

Why so miserable?  Which direction have we been moving that has them so miserable?  Good economy?  tax cuts? Rising stock market?

Should that not be offset by the supremely happy Trumpeters?

If they were equally weighted in the polls and the satisfaction rating of the republicans was as lopsidedly high as that of Democrats is lopsidedly low, yes.

Republicans generally don't strike me as in lockstep as democrats, though.  Democrats are like a cult

Add unhappy to miserable.

For the hard working Americans, to still be unhappy even with the country doing great, it's deep rooted unhappiness.

Nothing  to do with Trump.

So are Trumpeters.

Republicans came in at something like a 66% satisfaction rate.  i'd have to go back and look to get the exact number.

To be as cultist as the Dems, shouldn't they be in the 90% range?

20Trillion in the hole and getting deeper by the day?

I would not be so quick to call that "doing great".

Not all Republicans are Trumpeters.
