Dems don't like E-Verify.

“Without top to bottom reform of our immigration laws, expanding E-Verify would devastate the agricultural industry, result in closed farms, a less secure America and the mass offshoring of millions and millions of U.S. jobs,” said Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.).

"Increased enforcement fails to address the 11 million undocumented individuals already living and working in the U.S.” Judiciary ranking member Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.) said. “It hurts the nation’s economy and does nothing to fix our broken immigration system.”

“There’s little protection for anyone authorized for work who gets caught up in the E-Verify system unfairly,” warned Rep. Judy Chu (D-Calif.).

Sorry it's not our govt's fault if parents make the choice to leave their kids behind. Let's stop pretending these people didnt put themselves in this position when made the choice to break the laws of a foreign nation. Stop whining about Trump and Sessions when it's the legislation's job to change the laws, which they should, because legal immigration is way outside the means of these people and they do deserve a fair shot.

Spot on. If the mentally ill leftist democrats get their way, they will release the criminals with their kids and told, come back in a year, 98% won't. Then you will have gangs from Mexico kidnapping babies saying the babies are there kids to get into country. The Dems and media are pathetic. This has been going on for years under Obama and the left didn't care. They are such weasels. Open borders would implode our economy since 99% would go on some form of assistance. Imagine all these uneducated non english speaking people with an average of 4 kids a family in the country.

Wait times are spiking here too. A colleague of mine just waited over a month to see an oncologist after being told that he has cancer. It doesn't fit the narrative of the "greatest healthcare in the world", but that's the reality.

Teacher friend of wife got diagnosed with ovarian cancer a year ago, MSK got her scheduled and operated on inside of two weeks, cancer free anniversary yesterday.

That is such a lie, CA uses a migrant H-2A migrant worker visa just for the farming industry.

Not according to the law which people here seem to like the idea of.  There are not different penalties for the same crime based on citizenship status in the US.

Not the same crime, an illegal alien, who is entering the country without being vetted, is not the same as a US citizen committing misdemeanors .

With a US citizen, the government has your name and address, unless you are homeless, and you are required to report for trial, or you are arrested.  The illegal alien has no ties to any community, and needs to be held in a more secure manner, to ensure them being present for their hearing

How many of the 10,000 unaccompanied minors are you signing up for?

A couple of those kids in front of the photo look like your style.

The NY Times reports some truth about the “hell hole” detention centers and cages these kids are living in. Aluminum foil blankets, taping pails for toilets. The whole thing exposed, a week ago

Inside the Former Walmart That Is Now a Shelter for Almost 1,500 Migrant Children

June 14, 2018
The New York Times

BROWNSVILLE, Tex. — In the loading docks, children sat in a darkened auditorium watching the animated movie “Moana.”

Where there were once racks of clothes and aisles of appliances, there were now spotless dorm-style bedrooms with neatly made beds and Pokemon posters on the walls. The back parking lots were now makeshift soccer fields and volleyball courts. The McDonald’s was now the cafeteria. All this made it difficult to visualize what the sprawling facility used to be — a former Walmart Supercenter.

The converted retail store at the southern tip of Texas has become the largest licensed migrant children’s shelter in the country — a warehouse for nearly 1,500 boys aged 10 to 17 who were caught illegally crossing the border.

The teeming, 250,000-square-foot facility is a model of border life in Trump-era America, part of a growing industry of detention centers and shelters as federal authorities scramble to comply with the president’s order to end “catch and release” of migrants illegally entering the country.

I bet that you have terrible healthcare and that you drive across the border to see doctors.

(They really believe that on here :hooked:)

I consider myself very fortunate to live in a country that takes such good care of its citizens...Sometimes it has its flaws, but overall, it's all good. Really.

And when I drive across the border, it's for fishing !
