First fish out front

Got my first two fish out off the beach this morning. Just trolling around some soft plastics trying out the new yak

That looks like California or Baja Mexico.

Don't you see a snow  in the background?

You can see sea lice on the fish in your first picture. A nice early season migratory bass. Nice. :th:

You think there’s migratory fish in Long Island sound already? Water temps are still alarmingly low:(

Well it certainly looks like sea lice around the base of the tail and the pectoral fin. Those little brown/beige specks. Sea lice are associated with migratory fish, so.........

Idk much about sea lice. Was wondering if a holdover fish could have come out of the river and gotten it on him in the last week or so out on the ocean front
