Have you tried needlefish plugs in southern waters?

Hello,

I'm really interested in the needlefish lures, like the ones by Super Strike. There are lots of needlefish in the southern waters I fish, and it seems like they are worth a try. Have you ever tried a needlefish lure in southern waters? Did they work well? Thanks!

SC,

Thanks! Now there's a vote of confidence. I didn't know they originated in FL waters, where I am most interested in using them. It makes sense. Needlefish are very common in southern waters.

I live in Florida and often wondered the same thing. I was recently gifted a boone needle by a friend and purchased two bm needles from another. I have no doubt from what I have seen on the water that these are going to be major producers.

You may wish to find some floating needles (RM Smith and a couple other builders make them). In the Northeast most needlefish are sinking types that mimic sand eels
