It was actually at a tinge over 4500 rpm.

 

I was passed by some googan in a 32' cc with 3 350 hp verados.

It all started with yaks. The need to get out there.  Never caught more stripers than yakking.  Or bigger.  Hardtails is what kills the budget.   ;-)

A 32 with 3 350's can do a good bit more than 37 mph the ferry can do more than 37.

At what point does it become sensible to get inboard engines, not outboard?  I see real photos of CCs with four OBs across the stern, they're not rare anymore.  I look at them and wonder how on earth you'd get inside one, if you had a problem, and swell height was significant. If you have a problem with one, it's likely to be a problem with all - crap in fuel lines, and so on.

Who cares....you have 3 that are still running...
