Needle ID

8 posts in this topic

Found this in my grandfathers Florida offshore stuff. He has been gone since the mid 90’s.

The needle is screw eye, with 3 weights.

Thanks guys. Grandpa was frugal, Hahn was right in his price range.

All the Bob Hahn needles I have are wire thru construction.    Did he build some with screw-eyes?

The other Hahn needlefish plugs I had were skinnier in the taper than this one. They were also thruwired I believe.

The screw eyes threw me. All the ones that I have/seen are thru wired only.

He made a lot of stuff in different ways so it is still very possible it is a Hahn.

Anyone with a lathe and yellow doll eyes could have built it....looks late 80's...I suspect Hahn or someone tossed yellow eyes on a Gibbs.
