Spring trout fishing can be a really good time........Whether you fish hard or just sit in a chair listening to the sox spring training on the radio while you soak some baits.........The bonus is they are a very good product.........Grilled trout are very good!.....

yes...that'll do for me...

Saturday was a great day if you could find a spot out of the wind it seemed.

caught quite a few including one big male truck bow and a couple holdover bows.

Some of them are no longer swimming (unless I go swimming soon :)

I really like having trout stocking reports online daily.

Today I used the list to determine my favorite pond had NOT been stocked.

Oh blessed solitude. Crowd goes one way, I go the other.

40 years I've been starting my season at that spot. Most of that time using the old Browning/Penn ultralight from 1982.

Now its really a nostalgic item. Too flimsy for anything much more than a nightcrawler. Those holdovers put a bend in it!

Now I'll probably put it away.till next year.

I got to hand it to the state they really do a good job with trout stocking. I enjoy taking my girls out to shake off the cobwebs of winter and they usually come home with smiles. Hey and the trout don’t taste bad either when they are a little late on the hookset

Yes agreed, and that rod and reel while light looks like a lot of fun to fish.
