Well, I'm not saying we "want" to go 50+ out, but here's what happens almost every time........

We head for the inshore lumps, 25 miles out, hoping to find bluefin there, and they're not.

So we go to the midshore wreck area 30 miles out, and they're not there.

Then we go to the next spot, 40 miles out, but nope, not there.

Then 50 out, where they had them last week, and yep, that bite has moved on.

Then troll East towards the Lumps.

Then what the hell, we're already 55 out, the Claw is only another 7, so we troll to it.

Next thing you know, it's 4:00, we're 62 miles out, and we're looking at one another saying "Isn't this exactly what we said we're not going to do?........"

But then you catch a Tuna, and you don't care how far out you are. :p

Haha Love it! I do this all too often on my yak.

i even got Unlimited on my Tow Boats US . For the reasons above . Knock on wood have never used it yet. My brother is retired USCG and I'm A automotive Master Tech. So we are pretty ship shape as far as boat reliability . I just put Simrad 12 inch evo 3  with 4G radar last year . Unbelievable how nice that is

But ya' only live once, and on those flat days, it sure beats going to work, or sitting on the reef for flounder and crying with everyone else "no drift, no bite."

Oh hell yea
