Need help with thunnus12000 (Older model)

I think it will come off with brute force.  But to avoid damage to the spool shaft retainer 

 

you should be remove the rotor nut enabling you to lift the rotor.

 

Then popping the side plate and removing the spool shaft retainer.   Allowing the shaft to come out throught the pinion and thus removing the rotor.

 

Last 12k I worked on was sudsy's.  Can't remember if it was an issue.  my 6k's come out with ease (just checked)

 

Edited it because if you yank on it you could damage the shaft retainer which kind or rotates into grooves on the shaft.  ant it's thin metal.

that was the last time it was serviced :eek:
