I was looking for hooking some gator bluefish, but then a couple of Stripers decided Lefty's deceiver is what they want.

This one being the first 2018 keeper striper on fly!

Then a couple of schoolies

They have been in the bushes for a couple weeks. They are just starting to fly on this section. I imagine this weekend will be on fire. I’ll be out on Monday with a little bit less of the crowd.

Return to  Vermont home rivers.   Solid day with a mix of swinging for holdover/wild fish and hammering stockies on dries.  Also deployed the canvas condo for the first time.

Nice pics all.

Searun Coastal Cutthroat that just recently dropped back down to the salt after spawning this spring.

Nice length, no girth.

Needs to fatten up on some chum and pink fry.

No pictures, but yesterday the water at my local lake was exceptionally high (by at least 12 inches), and forced bait and gamefish up shallow. Two LMB, and my first white crappie on fly, all less than twenty feet from shore in blazing sunlight. One of those bass was the largest I've ever caught on fly. There was one which had to be at least double the size of my best fish that day roaming around, but no takes or hints of interest from him.
