Hand Carved Swap...Interested?

Who's interested in doing a swap for hand-carves? I'm gonna run a few batches of a few different designs, anyhow, and I figure I could cut out some extras when I dust off the jigsaw one day this week. I have multiple batches of several lure types, in different stages of construction going, so I figure If I cut out some fish-shaped lures this week, and chip away, I could safely say they would be done first week of March.

Personally, I wouldn't be too picky about what type of hand-carved, but if people are interested, we could let the group decide on style, size, how many, when, etc. Maybe one criteria could be 'no lathe involved'?

Pics to show I can deliver...have made hundreds....sometimes even catch fish:

Okay, so we have 3, so far. On Wednesday I'm gonna cut out 6-8 profiles out of a piece of lumber. I do most of my layout, and drill my holes/cut lip slot, while the sides are still flat. Maybe if we post pics as we go a couple more will join? But, I'm okay with a 3 person swap, too.

Do you guys want any parameters...like size, due date, etc. ? I'm gonna seal with epoxy so I don't have to wait 14 days for poly to cure...and I'm gonna make a design I've made before, so that I know what I deliver will swim correct.

I’m cool with pretty much anything parameters wise.

These are are what I’m thinking about doing. They’re about 6.5” and just about 1.5oz.

Hey guy's,  I won't get involved this time but will in future. These are a few big red cedar hand carved patterns I make for pike . I also make some smaller versions but unfortunately no stripers over here . Done a bit of research though, and turns out 1 was caught decades ago in a trawl net off south coast of England !  20170705_205339.jpg.6ec918f3baf23c7d91b712bc0262e7fa.jpg20170710_160804.jpg.851644adbb0ed4f88f7a94a73ada6c8d.jpg20170731_140416.jpg.da932bb71c854533203f1a62e7b3fa2c.jpg20170705_202601.jpg.667292d127ba6a78b0b8272489378da2.jpg20161127_115722-1.thumb.jpg.b843b18975b870870bcf94a39e1a9111.jpg20170710_162208.jpg.8a166e10ac287795fe91e2839dc659d6.jpg20170710_160852.jpg.95d8ec5d57950b48364d027546d80763.jpg

So far it looks like only Seed, BNickW, and me are doing this. Nobody else wants in? Anyhow....I had some time, and got layout drawn on the heavy PVCs, lively lights, and mag minnow imitations.....The mags need more shaping (all hand shaping at this point), but weights are in and all holes drilled except for eyes. Still gotta install lips, too.

Mine are getting cut and shaped and drilled today. This damn cold is killing me since I do all my work outside except for paint and epoxy. But getting them done today before the super cold comes in. They’re 7” and finish out to about 1.3-1.5oz. They stay on top with a slow retrieve but get down 2-3’ on a steady retrieve and hold well in a current.

This is what they look like finished. Can carry either a 3/0 or a 4/0 4x VMC treble on the belly with a flag on the tail. 3/0 for keeping it closer to the surface and the 4/0 for when there’s larger fish around or when you need that little extra depth.
