2.    All boats operating on the lake must be 19 feet or less in length, per their State registration papers.

3.    Jet skis(personal water craft) are not allowed on the lake.

4.    No cabin boats are permitted on the lake

5.    Boat speed on lake will be restricted to a maximum of 25 M.P.H, except in the coves and between the island and shore, where it is 6 M.P.H.

6.    All power boats must maintain a distance of 100 feet from the shore wherever possible

7.    All boats proceed in a counter-clockwise direction whenever possible

8.    No more than 2 skiers may be towed behind one boat on Saturday's, Sunday's, and Holiday's. (More than two are permitted on weekdays, provided an escort boat is following)

9.    All gas and/or electrically powered boats on the Lake must display a valid Lake Bunggee permit number on the right rear transom or as close to that as possible, looking from aft to bow. These numbers are issued by the Safety and/or Lake and Beaches Chairpersons, to property owners who are up to date on their tax payments.

10. No outside boats are allowed on the lake.  (D.E.E.P. boats exempt)

11. No property owner may have more than 2 boats operating on the lake at one time

12.  All guest boats must have a permit in order to operate on the lake:

Permits are issued by the Board of Director’s representative upon the written request of a property owner who is up to date on his/her District taxes.

Permits are normally issued for a 24-hour period.

A maximum permit of one week will be issued in the case of a rental.

13. All swimmers must stay in the designated swimming areas, which shall be within 100 feet of the shore, unless accompanied by a boat

14. No floats shall be allowed more than 100 feet from the shore.  A float is a personal floatation device filled with air or foam and used by a swimmer.

15. No boats are to be moored nor docks placed on common property

16. No rafts or stationary inflatable devices shall be allowed more than 75 feet from shore.  A raft is a floating platform made of construction material and anchored in position.  Docks and rafts may not include materials such as expanded polyurethane or polystyrene.

17. No buoys shall be placed more then 75 feet from the high water mark unless deemed necessary by the LBTD Board.  All buoys must conform to CT DEP Regulations on Boating Safety and LBTD Board regulations.  For example, a buoy marking a mooring for a raft/boat shall be white with a horizontal blue stripe (DEP Section 15-121-A3).  Only LBTD Board members may place buoys marking hazardous underwater objects or no-wake zones.  Makeshift buoys (e.g., plastic bottles) are not acceptable.

18. Owners of docks and rafts must label each structure with their property address.  Structures with multiple sections must be labeled accordingly.  Dock and raft construction must conform as stated in rule 16 above.  Owners are responsible for their property.

19. All guests, when using the beaches or the lake, must be accompanied by a lake resident/owner.

20. In order to keep "outsiders" from using lake beaches, individuals may be asked to identify themselves as lake property owners.

21. The lake is lowered beginning October 14th each year.  The Willimantic Watershed Commission and the D.E.P. will be notified thirty (30) days prior to the lake being lowered.  A notice shall be placed on the bus stop and in one local newspaper prior to the lake being lowered. As a matter of courtesy the Witches Woods Directors will also be notified.

22. Evening parties on LBTD beaches or other common areas, must have permission from the President and be properly supervised. Beaches are closed at 10:00PM.

23. No motorized vehicles are allowed on the lake in the winter, when the lake is frozen.
