Scoob,your best work to date!

I usually think your vids get a little long winded but i didn’t realize this was 57 minutes long until it was over.

Fastest  57 minutes I have spent on a YouTube tutorial.

I predict with the popularity of this reel that you have  a winner here, lots of well deserved clicks coming.

Keep ‘em coming,

Haaa....thanks man!!  Hope so!

Trust me I do too.

I'd bet half of my time spent is after I start editng....and realize.....****...it's 40 minutes and I tried to keep it to 5.

Then I start over....and 10 more attempts later...I've found a way to justify 39 minutes....and say screw it and go with that...lol

But almost a year later I think i'm starting to get the hang of certain things...and cutting some of my vids down to a more reasonable length.

My average view durations are roughly 6-8 minutes with 40 percent at 11 minutes.  So I try to stay under 20 mins depending on the topic :)

Great work as always. Please let us know how that aquashield holds up.

Thanks brotha!  After finding it's being used in avets on bearings and gears from the factory..I'm gonna use it more widely....It's softer than yamalube and corrosion x.   But when it interacts with gears it acts like those silly hand crank motor oil displays in auto parts stores....(you know the ones at the counter)  Only it doesn't drip and get runny    I used it on the pinion and main gear of a metanium dc and it became very quiet but stiff.....a little bit of this crap goes a longggggg way.....more so than krytox or corrosion x...because it sticks so well.

Awesome, very informative video. You make it look so easy. Maybe one of these days I’ll try one of mine instead of shipping out.

Scoob, please stop chewing your nails. :D

My pinkies....that's it!   haven't touched the other 8 in almost 2 months!!!!

One of my friends from Fishermen's Source is loaning me his Socorro and bought a nasci today for me to add to the 99$ shoot out.  So I'll now be able to really cover all the bases at that 99$ price point.  Now if i can only get a similar sized and priced Penn.

Oh...... and i broke down and bought penn grease and oil so I can not void the warranty on your slammer..which sucks because I don't like penn grease...I don't even like it's chemically smell.......For all the flames penn fan boys throw at shimano.....it blew my mind that Tony flat out said using anything other than penn lube will void your penn warranty.

This is what caught my attention about the penn warranty being voided

Otshawytsha,

The grease does get stiff when it gets cold but that would slow the action of the reel down not make it grind.  Adding any grease or oil that isn't PENN in the reel does void the warranty.  Could is be sand that you are feeling?  When sand gets in the line roller area, under the rotor or in the handle collar area it could make a grinding sound.
