9 posts in this topic

This will be my first time stripping down the new Daiwa BG SW, specifically the 3000. Are there special tricks or tips? I know this is the place to ask. Any info appreciated.

Have two different size philips screw driver and a dental pick, or something small and pointy to pick out the C clip on the main gear. Getting the main gear out and putting it back it, that's only tricky part of the whole operation.

They are made to remove the non handle side bearing first before even opening the reel. Remove the clip and tap the bearing out. Then its easy..
