A Most Humbling Experience

I’m sitting in the he waiting are at the  Oncology Treatment Center at Mass. General Hospital with my FIL... First of fifteen days of a radiation treatments to hopefully knock out his liver cancer.... 

 

It’s a humbling experience for sure....

I would guess because he is surround by people that are very sick.

My best wishes bud. My wife had her treatments at the North Shore location. They will take good care of him.

that sucks, but oncology care is amazing these days if they can catch it early enough - both my sister and Dad survived.

I know exactly how you feel. I was diagnosed with Kidney cancel 5 years ago.  I had the kidney removed completely.  No chemo or radiation.  I was however on a floor full of Cancer patients.  It was a humbling experience for sure.  When my wife came to visit me on the third day (after I had been walking the floor)  and asked how I was doing, I told her I was the luckiest man alive.  What I saw was enough for me to never complain again.

Pot heads using the term "medical" to get their fix should have to sit in a waiting room full of real patients in order to get it.
