blasphemy?

 

its only going to be me/wifes/kids, and my parents.

 

im giving serious thought to doing a rib roast on the smoker instead.

Pretty much the only day we cook one all year.  I love the smell as much as the bird.  Rib will probably be for Christmas.

HAve you run this by them?

I think it's gonna get shot down.

 

Plus, rib roast on the smoker is you, turkey in the oven is her, no?

yep just pick up a small turkey breast and throw it in the slow cooker. Take it out broil it to crisp the skin.  cook the roast in the smoke . 

 

lets face it turkey is not that good thats why we don't go to restaurants and get turkey
