You can hunt them with 25 cal or less AND 25 cal and larger. In any case the projectile can not exceede 80 grains. Also you can not hunt them on WMA's or any state owned ground. Page 58 in the years digest. You are correct sir. .

specialist
I had a great season. 2 with the bow, 1 shotgun, 1 smokepole I used my new Savage 220 for the shotgun. Topped with a 3-9 Nikon SlugHunter scope. Doe was shot at about 70 yards, 2 3/4” Accutip blew straight through a 2 1/2”-3” tree and double lunged her. She went about 50 yards. Bow was an Xpedition Xception single cam 60lbs. Double lunged the buck at 18yards and the doe at 22 yards. Ladt doe I didn’t get a pic of but used my Thompson Omega with a Nikon Omega scope. 100 grains of 777 pellets and a 250 grain shockwave. Took off the top of the heart and 1 lung went about 40 yards Edited January 2, 2018 by specialist

hunter4623
Picked these up on my line today (which i planned on pulling for the season) Wanted to release the coon because she was small but she was ill tempered when I got near her so she ended up in the truck. Also had 2 misses so the line stays for a couple more days. Trying to catch a couple coyotes I had on trail cam but they seemed to have disappeared. hunter4623
Lots of people eat coon. It’s pretty popular down south and in the Midwest. Coyotes won’t eat even eat it. I never had it. I don’t eat anything that’s a rabies vector.

Caveman style! lol I caught it on a trapline, skinned it on the spot and roasted it over an open fire. Me and my partner ate the whole thing. It was awesome. jkrock
I’ve eaten raccoon and wasn’t impressed. I thought it was greasy. Maybe it was the way it was prepped.. maybe it was psychosomatic. I know they have a ton of fat when you skin them Edited January 28, 2018 by jkrock "mother Theresa was a POS"-fish'nmagician
