pilotman
The warm spell a few days ago gave me a hunch that maybe a pre-spawn run could happen. I went to a local area known for early runs, during lunch time Wednesday and the bite was on. One fella had almost a dozen. Good size 10-12 inches. I had 5 bites but landed only one. 11 inches....not bad I suppose. Wish I could have caught a couple more. Could only fish an hour...left them biting. Talked to a local regular and he believed the afternoon bite was gonna be even better given it was 73 degrees and outgoing tide. And I always caught more on an outgoing tide at that location! Don't know .how this cold snap is going to affect the. bite going forward.....

Widgeon
Nice job. I am hoping to give it a try this weekend. Were you on the western shore or the eastern shore.
pilotman
Western shore. Another warm front moving in next couple days....May take the wife for a couple hours Sunday if time permits. Gotta love the first run of the year starting so early this year. Millrtme
I went today with no luck. My daughter was trying bloodworms and I had a small jig head with a Bust Em Stinger. It was later in the day so the sun had dropped a bit. May try again tomorrow. -Andrew
