First pic is probably my favorite picture for the year.  Awesome and Congrats

Agreed--Photo of the Year! Surf fishing off the rocks is always an adventure. And no injuries? Impressive!

Probably one of the last few days I can chase some fake lakes steelies. This one had a pretty cool gold iridescence to it, fish out of this place are usually full chrome.

Had a good bass on..........probably didn't set the to the bend so the fish had leverage. Still one heII of a fight after the school bass we been catching. Always a surprise in the surf.

Hard out front in Lanzarote Island this afternoon at high tide. Great fight and very difficult to land this bass, big waves and a very complicate shoreline, volcanic rocks everywhere... Thanks to the SOL guys for inspirating  to fly fishing the surf

Must have been something landing that fish with that surf without blowing up that rod by high sticking. Great job!

Slow day - but saltwater fish in Dec are always welcome, including the 4 hickory shad I got today down in Rhode Island. They can be a dime a dozen, and 50 fish days aren't uncommon...but not at this time of year. The pic below is the first one I got, just prior to landing

"nymphing" (bottom bounce)

I swang a pretty good amount, first light gave it a good try but it was futile - water temps seem to be too cold to really get them to move. In all I only saw one fish caught on the swing. Still a fun time!

thank you tho it wwas a good time

Yes, when the fish came very close to me I walked 3-4 mts on the left to open the angle tip-line and waited 4-5 waves before the right one landed the fish. Sincerely thinking more about the two last big bass lost under my feet because the rod was too vertical to the fish...two times the hook out. Anyway I know this rod is a bit delicate...but the favourite in my arsenal.

Please tell me that's a joke.

Glad I moved, must be a pretty sad state of affairs if I can consistently catch trout out here bigger than striped bass out there

You have a way with words :theman:
