Used to be able to buy Manning's brand hominy.
Can't anymore. Have looked on the web pretty hard over the years and can't seem to find a place that sells it online.
Any of you MD locals see it in the stores anymore?

There's been several appeals here for hominy. "Can't we all just get along?" I believe it's in Tim's job description.

my favorite way is to cook pork chops in one of those baking bags.... then pour the juice into a frying pan, dump a drained can of hominy in it and then sautee the hominy in the pork chop juice and serve it alongside the pork chops. oh my GAWD talk about heaven on a plate.
shipping myself a few cans of bush's white hominy back to here... it's in the mail. but bush's ain't as good as mannings... and it HAS to be white hominy.
YUMMMY!!!

TL, You're talking hominy, like in the white puffy looking stuff with a kernel in the center? Mom used to cook hominy when we were kids. We'd eat it, but since nobody else ever talked about eatin it, I just figured it was food for the folks on our side of the tracks... One thing's for sure, mom sure kept the family fed on the stuff.

Yup... that's what I'm talking about GoBow.
We grew up on it too.
Just not often. We always had it with pork chops when Mom would make them.
Apparently my father ate it a LOT growing up and you couldn't pay him to eat it now.
I know it's "southern" food...
