zak-striper
I fished Wednesday night till Thursday morning. There was no hot bite. It was pretty slow at dawn. The few fish that were caught were schoolies. I only saw one decent, keeper sized fish caught. I only had schoolies for my efforts. The crowds, considering the lack of fish, were huge. I won't be there for a least another week. Edited July 4, 2015 by zak-striper
bdowning
3 day holiday weekend + "hot" Canal report = daytime chaos. To each his own, but it'll be either the dead of night or elsewhere for me. -bd Pfantum Pfishah
Richard_the_Aughth
I was there last night for a few hours and there was no one fishing but may be 2-3 people. Plenty of room for everyone. No fish though

Mike J.
Anytime a "Hot morning Bite" happens and the rest of that day is heavy boat traffic(like yesterday) almost guarantees the next morning will be dead. The bait leaves the canal and the slobs follow. FYI , a place not too far east of the ditch was "Hot" today..
FishRatz
Free fishing weekend came a day too late got that right!....hate to be bearer of 'should have been there yesterday', but Friday was indeed excellent fishing. Saturday was void of fish...with lots of short poles standing way too close.

bdowning
Some jerk boat fishing the Canal in front of the bulkheads apparently thought it was hot this morning . Meanwhile boat traffic is bearing down from all directions. But then it's a comm day, so... -bd Pfantum Pfishah
