fm/nj
A noticeable movement of the warm water is starting to move slowly closer to the coast. It won't be long now. ...fm/nj

Fishhead7
Google this: "Ice Grips Upper Chesapeake and Delaware Bays" And you'll find a good article and a cool picture. Big ice years were described as 1977, 2004, and 2011. I am not sure how the ice those years impacted the spring spawn, but in looking through the DelMarVa archives I see that stripers and drum were being caught fairly regularly on AI (both ends) starting around the 19th of April in both 2010 and 2011 ... looks like that time period was slower in 2009.
