Just a question, a friend asked me this and i didn't have an answer. Can you use a metal detector legally anywhere on the hook or is it prohibited due to unexploded ordinance etc?

There is a sign at the front of the park that says "No metal detectors." Sorry tell him to try Sea Bright just up to the Park, in the 1800s they shot cannon balls from North Beach south to Sea Bright and then picked up the ordinance to reuse. Between the North Beach hard top parking and the dirt parking is whole area with info on that subject.
