There's a beach on the west coast of India where they beach ships to dismantle them, it's been in operation for many years and ships come from all over to be salvaged. Very dangerous working conditions at the facility.

Yeah, so they don't break the ship before they go slice and dice if for scrap.

No enviromental laws broke on that job site, not to mention worker safety. But it would be fun to do that

Oh man , I've seen so many boats on that beach. I think the GPS chart and reality differ a bit.


I love when we make way past the breakwater at first light and head out, there's nothing better, the whole rest of the world just melts away for me.

They started shipbreaking there about 5 years after the first steel ship launched. There was some clamor of other countries trying grab some of the pie, but Bangladesh remains the leader last I looked.
