Didn't really expect anything. Didn't see any beach erosion where I was. .........Overall an exciting evening in the pounding surf.

Yeah, was same for me at LBI yesterday. Had a few waves crash against me and pretty much soaked the shirt I was wearing. Even with the tide going out the water was still coming pretty far up the beach...was interesting.

I live on the water in Port Monmouth. The conditions are a lot better than what is being called for. The wind is actually very light. Also very little rain. I have this entire weekend to do some hardcore fishing. My wife and daughter will be in Texas tonight. I will be heading out as soon as I get home from dropping them off at the airport. The tide isn't right for my go to inside location, but may just head out front with some big AVA's and sandeel teasers. If anyone wants to meet up, P.M. me here or call me on my cell after 5:00 P.M. 201-522-5615.

I fished about 45 min this morning from 6:45am to 7:30am, Shark River Inlet and the beach north of it. Low tide, maybe just start to come in.

The water was very dirty on the beach, all brown color within the distance that I could see from the beach out. Strong north east wind was still there, very hard to cast to east direction. I was only able to cast when I stand on jetties and cast to South direction.

In the Inlet, water was remarkable "clean", and looked fishy and definitely fishable. Unfortunately nothing took my lures. When I left, the tide started to come in and, the water color in the Inlet did start to get muddy too.

Right now, it's drizzling in SFZ area, wind is still strong, from NE. Stay home if you want to save gas money.

Conditions have deteriorated since my last post. Wind has picked up and steady rain now. I will just play it by ear, and keep watching the local radar. The nice thing is I can have a line in the water 3 Min. from leaving my front door.

Monmouth county is plenty fishable, stained but no weeds or anything to foul plugs. Near SRI the beach was unfishable due to crap in the water. I can't wait to see how the beach looks after this all, a lot of sand was lost where I've been.
