Anyone out there on the beach tonight keep an eye to the SSE around 11:27 or so.

It was really a good show. :th:
It came low over the southern horizon with sparks/smoke trailing behind it.
Then it started started to die down to the point you almost couldn't see it anymore.
Just then then sky lit up when the 2nd stage kicked in with fire, sparks and smoke.

It was something I'll never forget.
I'm sure police dept's got lots of phone calls from people who did not know about it's launching.

A couple pulled up to to the water we fishing last night, got out of the car and two minutes later asked if we were seeing the rocket. Figured, great, lunatics! Looked up and saw it cruising across the sky.... I asked where it was launched from and he said" Virginia, it's going to the moon to map it." Watched it go dim and then the next stage kicked in. Was pretty cool.

I downloaded and re posted photo.... hopefully it shows on screen...

I guess that is a time lapse photo. By the time it crossed Southern CT It was visible looking east ,moving north, but was moving almost parallel to the horizon. Must have been in orbit already.
