BrianBM
I find it amazing that there is a significant current of opinion in Kentucky that Sen. McConnell is dangerously in bed with Obama, but there's enough sentiment along those lines to encourage Mark Bevin to mount a primary challenge with some Tea Party backing. A question for Republicans present. Is Senator McConnell at serious risk of losing a primary contest because he's insufficiently conservative? How is he not conservative? Any Kentucky posters here .... Little, you have a wide range of political experience, what's McConnell's problem?
longcaster
We are trying to Primary as many "big-government" Republicans as possible. Plus vote out the Democrats. If being stupid got us into this mess, how come being stupid can't get us out?I don't want to behave improperly, so I just won't behave at all. The guy to read about primaries against liberals in the R Party is Erick Erickson of Red State dot com, formerly at CNN. He follows all the races with emphasis on liberal/progressives/nanny staters that use the cover of the "R" “My happiness is not the means to any end. It is the end. It is its own goal. It is its own purpose.” Ayn Rand
BrianBM
I do believe I will go take a look. Apparently John Boehner has some problem this way too.
Dan J
Didn't Kentucky elect Rand Paul, despite the best efforts of McConnell, the Republican Party establishment, and the Lexington newspapers to prevent this? If I were McConnell, I'd be very concerned - my guess is many of these entrenched politicians will be in danger of losing their seats as more people get disgusted with the older Republican Party establishment. dena
It is good to make entrenched incumbents sweat a little in a primary As long as the winner can prevail in the general. Otherwise, it is a wasted effort. Material abundance without character is the path of destruction. -Thomas JeffersonThere are two ways to be fooled.
