Would anyone be able to give me a couple of good Surf Fishing spots that are located on long island that don't require driving onto the beach and don't require any permits.

That my friend is called a" spot burn" which is against the rules which you can read by going to the "guidelines and rules" section at the bottom of this page.

It will be tough fishing LI the remainder of the season due to the storm and many beach closures

It's no biggie, an honest oversight. Welcome to SOL by the way, the rules aren't meant to inflict hardship they are there to be fair for everyone and" spot burning" has been a problem in the past.

I'm sure someone in your area would be more than willing to fish with you but that storm really through a wrench into everything.

This "spot burn" stuff has gone too far!

I can understand the tastelessness of publicizing a spot that only accomodates a limited number of anglers. I understand that there are only three parking spaces outside the lot, and that you have to be a town resident to park IN the lot.

Canarsie Pier, in Brooklyn, must have parking for 1000 cars.
Jones Beach, Field 6 must have parking for 5000 cars.
These places are inflammable.

The REAL joke, is that TACKLE SHOPS are in the business of ''spot burning.''

In fact, (we cannot post links here).....

Go to a website that has a similar name to this one.
The difference in names, is THIS site is MANY fish.
THAT site is ONE fish.

They name many Long Island spots there, none that haven't been published before.
But if you know NOTHING, it takes about five years off your learning curve.

Does the night permit good for all or most of the parks or do you need to get a different permit for each of the parks?

The back of the permit tells you which parks and which parking fields and what time of the year.
