...we don't have one so I thought i would start one. Any bird, any place, anytime...as long as you took the shot! Here's a sweet starter image from Assateague Island today. F9 1/1250 ISO 200. ET -2/6.

ok, boys and girls

the best so far must be Allen's fantastic mighty big 'bird'

 

who can produce a better bird ????

 

HOWEVER all the other images, to me are beautiful, simply beautiful

 

maybe I will have to shoot a few birds

 

then again my wife tells me, don't shoot ducks any more

;)

Now I don't want to sound like a dreaded "birder" type but in the last few years I have found myself visiting Avian forums more than fishing forums.....all our feathered critters have beauty to offer and it's fun to try and photograph them when the lighting and background are complimentary.......still there ain't nothin like a big bad eagle for pure inspiration! They're also a lot easier to shoot than small birds..........especially if your longest lens is 200mm..............

BLOODY FANTASTIC !!!!!!!!!!!!

 

and amazing

it would be if not the best bird photo I've seen

with all the power, speed and glory only a mster bird can display

captured by yourself
