Congratulations to Penn and Pure Fishing. You really turned the Penn brand around. I Can't wait to get my hands on the new Spinfisher V. My first reel when I was a kid was a Greenie.

I'm foaming at the mouth waiting to get my hands on one of the 5th generation reels. I just replaced a bearing in a 712 and it still works like the finely tuned machine that it is. Also recently picked up a Battle 5000 for surf fishing and absoluetly love it! Speaking of the classics, is it possible to take an older 712 and/or a 714 ultrasport and replace the bearing with a one way bearing effectively making it an infinite anti-reverse type reel? I suppose it would require somehow bonding the bearing to the main shaft?? That sure would be a nice upgrade. By the way, I'm new here. Life long large-mouth fisherman and just about anything else that bites.
