Anyone try mulberry for smoking wood?  I use it, apple or a blend for my salmon and lake trout.

I just ate my last vacuum packaged HFG’s recipe of smoked blues for lunch and feel like I need to bump this up again. I smoked that last batch in August 2017 and it tasted like I made it yesterday. Excellent recipe Jessica thank you for sharing. Now I need to catch some choppers for a new batch.

Thanks for bumping.  Love smoked fish.  Favorite is blackfish, but like bluefish a lot.  I have an electric smoker but I like using the charcoal one (basic weber grill).  It is harder to control temp but I don't find maintaining exact temp critical.  I think the flavor is better with charcoal vs electric heat.  I also use apple wood chips.   Definitely buy a vacuum sealer.  Frozen fish taste fresh.  Well worth the money.

i'll do a trade of fresh haddock for any unwanted bluefish(must be properly cared for bluefish)
