I broke my winshield today  Safelite Glass is coming tomorrow to replace it. I guess I I need to go back to the inspection station to get my sticker replaced. Does this require another inspection? It was inspected in October.

Went to see the whatfixer.

I asked the sales guy about that on the phone. He said that they cannot do that by law.

They took my sticker off and put it on the new glass.
But it wasn't Safelite, it was another company.
Ask the guy up front and tip him.

CORRECT - but a $20 should do it

I just got my windshield replaced about 2 months ago in Pa. Not by Safelite, but a small local company. The old sticker was reinstalled . Maybe it's just a Jersey thing?

I had a windshield replaced by Safelite and they re-installed sticker. Said to keep receipt of work with sticker......

I've seen them give the corner of the old windshield to the customer to put on the dash so you can see it. You shouldn't need a total inspection.

They shouldn't re-inspect it, you aren't supposed to be able to get a new inspection until 90 days before it expires. I let mine slip for a while and when I finally went for it they gave me a sticker that expired in 5 months. I told them I wanted to get back in line and do it again and they told me they wouldn't do it. I've never had to do it with a windshield that I can remember but frankly any time I've ever replaced a windshield it was because I need to get inspected...

I know that up here on the radio, JN Phillips has an advertisement where they say that they take "extra care and caution to remove and replace your inspection sticker on your new windshield."

But since they are a New England company, the laws may be different in those states than New Jersey.

Had a replacement windshield installed this summer. They removed the label and reused it.

Exactly, they have done it for me twice. :D
