bentstick
I was in need of a new place to store both kayaks and came up with this over the last couple of evenings.

KurtGett
Heavy Duty! Nice You can put a hammock in between the posts and use the yak for shade. That's multifunction!

member64022
I like the simplicity of them. I think if it were me i would add a roof or get a cover (*edited - please don't promote your business or website here - we do not allow it - TimS)

Greenford
That's nice! I'm looking at build about the same thing here. I think I will put a little roof over mine. Member NCBBA & OBPA
bentstick
That's nice! I'm looking at build about the same thing here. I think I will put a little roof over mine. I may have to retro fit a roof for mine, I've been storing mine in my brothers barn in the winter but he's in the process of selling his home. Post a pic when you finish! Make sure you build it tall enough, I've found that its real easy to step under and easily lift and carry to load and unload from the rack to the car and car to the rack. No bending and lifting! bentstick
I also added small metal L brackets for more support and eye bolts with bungee cords to keep from being blown off.

darter2
This is one I use. I found it up on http://****gear.com/baittubehowto.aspx. What I like about it, it's portable. Its good if you have one yak and/or if you want to do some maintenance or modifications on your kayak. They are great when rigging a yak too. Puts it at the right height and it's stable. Member NCBBA & OBPA
