Can I adhere stone veneer directly to Hardibacker? Do I really need the metal lathe? It's an interior job

Should work fine. Your thinset needs something to bite into for strength.

Interior and exterior are 2 completely different applications.
You should be fine using Hardibacker inside the home.
You're getting sleepy. ....very sleepy.....

What does the manufacturer recommend?
