Shore fishing in San Pablo Bay
Posted March 21 2011 - 11:30 AM
I was wondering if it's worth it to head out to San Pablo Bay for some shore fishing. I've only been fishing since late July of last year and from what I know, the Stripers don't start coming back into San Pablo Bay until late April.
That said, does anyone know what's usually hitting in San Pablo Bay around the shores around this time of the year?

Some Men are born Great, other men become Great, some men have Greatness thrust upon them, many are desperately seeking a 4th way
Most would follow an established path, rather than blazing one's own trail
I'm still alive, cause you CAN'T kill EVIL

Ugh, what a newbie mistake, thanks for catching it Mark . And thanks for the information, I didn't realize the rain we've been having could affect the Stripers!

CC's advice is great for either tail wagger. If a want the inside scoop, do use the Mike415 hook up when ya give keith a call, but tell 'em Mike is sending ya to buy a gold reel and to make his final payment for the case of trout crack. I'm a hater cause I don't got one gold reel.
I thought last year was a strange year for stripers. This year is off to an even stranger start. Yea, Mike, they're in the bay,,,Right now. I think CC is right about the weather pushing 'em out and we got a whole bunch of that same weather coming all week. As long as the weather doesn't spike hard for an extended period, it could be epic. Get out there, explore, hunt and fish and you're gonna get rewarded.

Just curious, but I've never had luck with any of my lures. I've used rattle traps and hair-risers, but nary a catch. Of course, the area where I fish from has no structures at all and the water can get pretty muddy. But is there any technique involved?

A ten spot says there is not a fish one in any of the areas of SPB he mentioned.
