I have an option to trade for a Bill Ballan Salt Water Series Reel.

How is the reel over all?

Good drag? How does it handle getting wet?

Thanks

LIStriper I have only handled one before and it seemed well made. But, for some reason their usage is more prevalent on the West Coast.

Being as I have no other first hand experience with this reel. I can't either recommend or condemn.

the guy I fish with often bought one 2 years ago at the "show" in Somerest, and hasn't had any problems (he doesn't get out much, though) the scuttlebutt is they are fine, but repairs (if needed) can take forever... hope this helps- Bob

I'll only answer with three words - TIBOR, PATE, ABEL.

Your words are better than mine and make a hell of a lot more sense.
