Glock 17 vs Browning Hi Power

I've shot the Glock 17 and liked the ergonomics, etc. I've handle the Browning Hi Power and liked the lines. Aesthetics count with me, however I don't want to give way the Glock's reputation for reliability.
Anybody fired both? Own both? Have an opinion? Who'm I kidding. Opinions are like

the BHP is a nice pistol, but it is an obsolete design.
John Moses Browning died before completing the gun.
Somebody else came along and finished the pistol design, but it's not anywhere near the elegance of the venerable 1911.

I own one. It's the High Power resemblance to the 1911 that attracts me to it.
BTW, I expected your vote for the Glock 17

I've a G17.
If I didn't and had to choose it or a BHP I'd choose the G17.

Apart from the "aesthetics", the tupperware aspect of owning a polymer gun carries weight. I'm also considering revolvers, maybe a used S&W model 10.

I got my grandfathers model 10 M&P and it shoots today just like it did the day it was built....A HUNDRED AND ONE YEARS AGO!!
Lemme know how the Glock's working in 2111.
