caught some in gardiners bay today on the fly. i think its gonna be a great season!

I love fishing for Albies around Gardiner's and Plum Island on a nice September day - it don't get any better than that in my book.

They're more green when they are in the water. Very cool to see up close.

yea, this was only the third one ive caught and my first on the fly. when i got em on my spinning rod last year it was very cloudy and i didnt get to see them shine.

Beautiful fish! I was out there over the weekend too. I use to catch them every Sept. off Center Island beach growing up. Anyone still see them in the western sound these days?

You get them once in a while on the beach, especially during the bigger blitzes at Montauk. They'll even hit a pencil popper at times.

saw a school of bonito yesterday morning, first time seeing them where i did pretty cool .
