kerrstriperfisher
I see a lot of people on here talking about all these different plugs. I have only been striper fishing for a couple of years. The only thing I have had great success on is a red and white pencil popper. I want to know some of yalls opinions on what the best top water plug is for stripers. 1. Kerr: a grass meadow or field to **** in. My girlfriend loved that kerr. 2. "Kerr" is an up and coming gang, starting in the New York City area that is anti-illuminati. There are certain levels of what type of Kerr you can be. IgotWood
Your situation sounds more like not being in the right place at the right time. I have many dozens of different plugs that fish well. If you're catching on pencils, then I will assume that you are spending more time during the day. Try to dedicate a couple of weeks to swimmers and needlefish at night. SCsurfcaster
Pencil poppers and lil neck poppers are always good. Surface swimming Pikie is killer too.

Bri in RI
SS poppers, smack-its, chug bugs, jumpin minnows, tsunamis...all great, effective, cheap & readily avail topwater plugs. Just make sure to upgrade the hardware. (*member formerly known as 'Mr. Brian')
