Does anyone use one of these. It is capable of hauling up 30lb fish..???

Think that's a spot-burn.

Anyway, yeah. I have never seen it done, but I know people have caught well over 30# fish off a pier using those types of nets. I guess the largest problem would be keeping the larger fish IN the basket, and the metal not bending.

Same net I use in Texas. 30# no problem, if you are worried, buy a new net and double net it.

Sport Burn...Nah...`That was a photo from their website actually...Thanks for the info...Just wanted some opinions..Looked at one at bait store metal seem bit thinish..But my Bait Store guy told me it should be able to haul up 30lbs+,,,

our local net shop makes them and uses heavy shrimp net for them ...great nets

My suggestion, try and get 1 with 2 steel rings. With a seemingly VERY large net volume, with no weight to hold it down, the larger fish may feel the net "floating" before it is in the basket. You could also accomplis the same thing with a few 1-2 oz weights somewhere in the net space.

My pier net has a ring made from rebar with heavy hand woven nylon webbing. Heavy, but works fine. C2

I bought a generic Pier Net..Eagle Claw for now..It has the ring in the bottom...I still want to give the Popnet a try as this particular is collapsible into about a ten inch space....

yes it will bring up 30 plus fish we use them for big reds and black drums they get 40 50 pounds no problems we also put a weight in the bottom to keep it in the water better

caught this in Pensacola off the pier used the collapsable net no Problems
