It is smaller than Assunpink but holds some nice bass. I never fished for cats there but I am sure there are plenty.

Never fished it for cats but it is a solid bass lake. Good bet if the big lake is crowded.

You can say that again....my brother and I went to Assunpink and got to the boat ramp by 7:00 am. The lake was carpeted with boats, so we went to Stone Tavern where it was much less croweded.
Just imagine how happy you would be if you lost everything you have in life and then suddenly got it back

It's an awesome lake. I fish there more than anywhere else over there. There are paths that you can walk down to get to the back of the lake where the fishing is good. you pratically can walk around the entire lake. I've caught numerous bass in there. The biggest being 5-6 Lbs. I've caught them on spinners, crankbaits, rubber worms, Etc. It's a decent size lake not to small but not overly huge either.

That lake system never gets a brake. Its like a tournament every day there.

Haven't fished there in 20 years since I moved away from there but there were a lot of bass in that lake and I knew a guy that fished with Bluegill filets that did very well with big double digit Channel Cats.Rising Sun lake too, that lake had some very big bass back then. If you are fishing from shore and walking the trails, the ticks can be numerous to say the least.

Go to Assunpink if you want good crappie fishing. I know it has changed but I used to get them from the shore years ago.
